Where is the best place to park and enter the Lumber Exchange Building?

Valet will be available for this private event just steps from the front door of the Hennepin Avenue Entrance for only $5.  Parking lots are also available across from the main entrance on South 5th Street. Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

If you purchased a ticket or were given a ticket by someone else that purchased one for you and the ticket does not have a name on it, yes you will need the printed ticket.

If you registered your name when you purchased the ticket you will be pre-registered. You may either bring your printed ticket or a valid ID to the registration desk the night of the event.   

 

What is the attire for the event?

As this is the "Red Tie Gala" we highly suggest gentlemen come in a suit or tuxedo with a Red Tie or Red Bow Tie.  Ladies are encouraged to wear a red or red accented cocktail dress or gown.

 

What is the agenda for the evening?

7:00 - 8:00pm  Social hour, entertainment, hors d'oeuvres, cash bar, silent auction
8:00 - 9:00pm Event program, special guests, live auction
9:00 - 10:00pm Live music & entertainment
9:30pm Silent Auction Ends
10pm Gala officially ends but the Exchange Club opens its doors to the public.  All are welcome to stay and continue the celebration

 

Are there hotels near by? 

Yes.  Several within walking distance.  However we are please to present the Marriott City Center as our Hospitality Partner for the Red Tie Gala.  This hotel is just 1 block from the venue.  For discounted rates place contact Kathy Cottrell directly at 612-349-4056 or by emailing at kathy.cottrell@marriott.com  A discounted rate of $139 for a standard room or $169 for an executive suite (currently selling $199 and $234).  An executive suite is a larger room with a king bed.  For the standard room, the bed type (king or doubles).  Must reserve your room by October 30th.  

 

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

You must be 21 to attend the Gala
