Join us Saturday, October 19th, 2024 for the Firefighters For Healing “Fired Up! 5K

A Family-Friendly 5K.

Come enjoy a Family-Friendly 5K Walk or Run along the beautiful riverside of Boom Island while raising funds for our Transitional Healing Center and Camp RED! This event provides an opportunity for people to come together from across the country and honor a burn survivor, firefighter, or first responder. Whether you participate with us in Minneapolis or your own home, your participation ensures Firefighters for Healing has the funding to continue to provide love and support when it is needed most! If you have the means to give or fundraise, you have the power to connect people and build hope, resilience, and courage! Walk with us to continue to pave a sustainable road to healing!

  • Walk or run – there is no official timing offered for this event – keep it fun and casual!
  • Check-In begins at 9:15a, Walk begins at 10a
  • Family Fall Festival with Food, Activities, and Entertainment to follow immediately after the 5k!
  • Costumes are encouraged! – Prizes will be awarded during our closing ceremony for outstanding costumes! Get creative and keep it family friendly!

Ways to Participate

  • In-Person: Register to participate in-person at Boom Island
  • Virtually: Run and Fundraise where you are!
  • Fundraise Only: Join the fundraising effort from the couch! No Walk/Run required.

Registration Costs

Individuals and teams are encouraged to raise sponsorship funds – prizes will be awarded for top individual fundraisers and those who reach the $150 & $350 fundraising tiers!

  • Minimum Fundraising Donation – $50
  • Firefighter Minimum Donation – $25 – turnout gear encouraged!
  • Kids 16yrs and Younger – No Minimum donation

Prizes!

  • Top Individual Fundraiser will receive 2 tickets to the 2024 Red Tie Gala!
  • Fundraisers over $350 will receive a limited edition Firefighters For Healing Sweater (to be mailed to you post-event.)
  • Fundraisers over the $150 level will receive a limited edition Firefighters For Healing ballcap (can be picked up at event!)
  • Prizes apply to walkers, runners, and peer-to-peer fundraisers alike!
