We were so excited to share updates regarding the Transitional Healing Center and how Camp RED will continue to support families next summer. While we have learned so much since we started providing emergency housing, these expansions are a dream come true.

Firefighters For Healing aims to provide housing that meets the emotional, physical and social needs of our families while they are in crisis mode or in recovery. To prepare to open the Transitional Healing Center has taken a lot of work. There have been difficult and challenging days. But as a survivor myself, I am determined to see this through for the future generations of burn survivors and first responders in need of this beautiful and supportive environment.

I know firsthand what it feels like to be a burn survivor going through the motions of the first few weeks or months. You need your support network. You need resources and emotional support for your extended family. You need someone to remind you that there are better days ahead.
